They serve the needs of researching and studying about the history and culture of the ethnic groups in Sapa like the M’Mong, the Giay, the Xa Pho, the Hanhi and the Red Dao.
The museum is housed in a bungalow of medium area. On the first floor display the exhibits and materials related to the life and beliefs of the H’Mong ethnic group and the Red Dao ethnic group. You will find a lot of sophisticated handcrafts with boldly traditional features which are like the reminders of a great time of fine art and handicrafts. Here in Sapa Museum, the tourists also have chance to see the traditional costumes of different ethnic groups and listen to the explanations for the distinction between the costumes which related intimately to the traditions of the ethnic minorities. The exhibitions displayed in Sapa museum also include the instruments which is a part of cultural life and art of this mountainous area.
