A performance of Nha Nhac (Hue royal court music)
Accordingly, a show featuring Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) designs and traditional music of Viet Nam’s north and central regions will be staged in font of the Ha Noi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Centre, 50 Dao Duy Tu street, Hoan Kiem district.
A musical event will take place on the following day, featuring beautiful melodies of northern folk music as well as ancient tunes of Nha Nhac (Hue royal court music), which was honoured with a place on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
A collection of Hue traditional costumes of Doctor Thai Kim Lan and a collection of instrumentals of Hue royal court music will also be introduced to the public on the occasion.
Hosted by the Management Board of Ha Noi’s Old Quarter, the programme aims to strengthen cultural cooperation and exchange between the capital city of Ha Noi and Hue Imperial City, both possess many UNESCO-recognised cultural heritages.
