Participants at the event
The event drew representatives from the embassies of many countries in Argentina, the friendship associations of both countries, the Argentina-Vietnam Culture Institute (ICAV) and many travel firms and locals.
Addressing the event, a representative from the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina introduced the history, cultural diversity and tradition of Viet Nam as well as the country’s achievements.
Highlighting the tourism potential as well as famous landscapes of Viet Nam such as Ha Long Bay, Sa Pa, Da Nang and Hue, the representative said Viet Nam has become an attractive destination for Argentine tourists, with about 10,000 visitors per year.
Meanwhile, Secretary of Tourism of Santa Fe province, which is adjacent to Buenos Aires, Martin Bulos congratulated Viet Nam on the country’s socio-economic attainments over the years, with average GDP growth of nearly 7 percent.
Bulos briefed participants on tourism in Santa Fe, underlining that the cultural week will promote friendship and mutual understanding between people of Argentina and Viet Nam.
During the event, travel firms of both countries had a chance to meet and seek partnerships. A photo exhibition was also held to introduce Viet Nam.
